Death of a Yankee Officer. – Captain John Ayres, of company H, 16th Maine regiment, who was wounded and taken prisoner by our forces at the battle of Fredericksburg, died on yesterday at the hospital of the Libby prison. Every care and attention was bestowed on him during his illness.
