REPUBLICAN WARD MEETINGS. – There will be meetings held in the several wards of the city this (Friday) evening, at 7 ½ o’clock, for the purpose of selecting delegates to the Congressional convention, to be held on the 11th inst., for the purpose of re-organizing the Congressional committee, and calling the nominating convention.
Madison ward will hold their meeting on MONDAY night, at 8 o’clock, at Ham’s hall.
Jackson ward club will meet at Rev. John Jasper’s church, at 8 o’clock.
Jefferson ward meeting will be held in the usual place, corner Franklin and Mayo streets.
Monroe ward meeting will be held at the Third street church.
Marshall ward meeting will be held at Chimborazo.
