PROBABLY TOTAL ACCIDENT ON BELLE ISLE. – This morning about seven o’clock James N. Turner, son of James Turner, of Manchester, was caught under a piece of timber weighing about twelve hundred pounds, which he was assisting to lift, on Belle Isle, and was so badly hurt in the breast that he cannot possibly survive. He was taken to his home a short time after the accident, and Drs. Chiles, Hobson and Monterio called in to his assistance. It is thought he has received fatal internal injuries.
