Ben Greet’s Plays.
“Much Ado About Nothing” and “As You Like It” are the plays selected by Mr. Greet when he appears in this city on May 11th, for the benefit of the Retreat for the Sick. The plays will be presented in the yard of the old Van Lew house, on East Grace Street, in future to be known as the Chimborazo Sanatorium.
Mr. Greet’s agent, who has visited the spot several times, is enthusiastic over the prospect of such an ideal setting for the plays selected. A more perfect place could not be found, the hedges and shrubbery being perfectly arranged for an al fresco performance. Every detail for the comfort and pleasure of the audience will be arranged for by the board of managers of the Retreat.
