USELESS TRACK. – The track on Eighth street, used in bygone days by the Confederates, as a connecting link between the Richmond and Fredericksburg railroad and Richmond and Petersburg railroads, is now an useless encumbrance to the street, and should be pulled up. As we have no municipal government authorized to take charge of such matters, the military authorities could appropriately undertake the removal of the track, as it was constructed, we believe, by the “Confederate Government.” The iron is confiscable, and the sills, if not fit for better uses, could be distributed to the poor for fuel.
