BEDS FOR THE SICK AND WOUNDED. – The ladies of the different churches are requested to meet daily in their respective lecture rooms, for the purpose of making beds and bedding for the sick and wounded who arrive from the camps around the city. We feel sure that this praiseworthy object will commend itself sufficiently to ensure a response from the ladies that will meet the necessity to the fullest extent. Ever ready, as they have always been, to contribute their exertions to the comfort of our gallant soldiers, on the field or in the hospitals, to call upon them for additional aid, we venture to say, will be greeted with a noble pleasure.
