Still Burning - The remnants of the recent great fire near the Petersburg depot were still burning yesterday. The authorities had caused the door and window ways leading to the part of the public warehouse burnt to be boarded up yesterday, to prevent the draft and consequent increase of the fire. It would seem that a steam engine, with a steady flow of water for a few hours, would have averted the two false alarms of fire created since the conflagration by the rekindling and blazing up of the embers.
