DIED,

On the 27th inst., at the residence of Mr Wm T Coghill, in this city, Mr ALBERT MARCERON, aged about 22 years, youngest son of Louis Marceron, Esq, of Washington, D C.

At the breaking out of this unholy war ALBERT left his home and friends, and came to Virginia and joined the First Maryland REGIMENT, and fought gallantly under the indomitable Stonewall Jackson. When the regiment was mustered out of service he sought and obtained employment at the Confederate States Laboratory, in this city, where he held several important positions, and contracted numerous friends and acquaintances by his gentlemanly deportment towards every one. Well may it be said “that none knew him but to love him.” Though far away from his home and kindred, his numerous friends here cheerfully rendered him all the assistance in their power that was needed. His death will be a sad blow to his aged parents and brothers; but it will be a consolation for them to know that he was aware of his end, and was fully prepared and willing to meet his Maker. May he rest in peace.

His friends and acquaintances are invited to attend his funeral this morning at 10 o’clock, from the residence of Mr Coghill, on 2d, between Marshall and Clay streets. His remains will be carried from the house to the Catholic Cathedral, on Grace street, where the funeral ceremonies will be preached.
