Disloyal. - Two detectives connected with Major Griswold's office visited Mathews county a few days since and brought away a farmer named Stokes, who had been complained of for refusing to take C. S. Treasury notes, and exhibiting other evidences of disloyalty. As the officers saw Chesapeake Bay and Federal gunboats riding at anchor thereon during their visit, it is supposed that the proximity of the enemy had something to do with Stokes's resolve to discredit our currency. He denied the offence imputed to him. The officers brought him to the city in his own buggy and lodged him in Castle Godwin.
