From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/3/1862, p. 2, c. 2
Food for the Wounded. – The Chairman of the Relief Association, charged with the duty of attending to the wants of our wounded men, earnestly requests the patriotic citizens of Richmond to send provisions to those domiciled in the hospital at the corner of 25th and Main sts. People very well know what is good for the parties in question, without any suggestion from us. It is sufficient to intimate to them that the brave men who have been wounded in defending our rights are very much in need.
