THE ASSAULT AT THE TREDEGAR WORKS. – The case of G. T. Schonberger, who made the murderous assault upon the colored man, Cary Jones, at the Tredegar works yesterday morning, was partially investigated by Justice White this morning. The case was continued until the 15th, in order to procure the attendance of the injured party. Schonberger was required to give bail in the sum of $2,000 for his appearance.
We learn that Jones is recovering. He slept well last night, and the physicians think he will be able to attend court in ten days from this time.
