SHOOTING CASE AT THE TREDEGAR WORKS. – Mr. Solomon Adams, foreman of the rolling mill at the Tredegar Iron Works, was shot through one of his hands this morning by a man named Murphy, lately a watchman in the establishment. We are informed that Murphy was dismissed from his place last evening, and went back this morning to get his time certified by the foreman in order that he might draw the money due him. What words passed between Murphy and Adams we are not informed, but the interview resulted in Murphy drawing a pistol and firing at Adams, the ball passing through the hand of the latter. Murphy was arrested by Sergeant Smoot and officers Toler and Finegan. The affair will undergo an investigation to-morrow morning before Justice White.
