CASTLE THUNDER. – There were yesterday six hundred and ten persons confined in the Castle for various offences. Of the number one hundred and eighty were Yankee deserters. Seventy-seven prisoners were received on Saturday. One of the guards at the Libby was sent to the Castle for sitting down on his post. Two soldiers of the 19th Virginia Battalion were confined for trading with the Yankees that they were appointed to guard.
