Shooting a Marine. – Two soldiers named W. E. Smith and Andrew E. Walker were arrested yesterday and conducted to Castle Thunder for the careless use of firearms entrusted to them. It appears that they were shooting their muskets at the bank separating the dock from the river, and not sufficiently depressing their pieces, one of the balls bounded and inflicted quite a severe wound on Simon Jones, a marine, attached ot the gunboat Beaufort.
