The work of recruiting negroes for the Confederate States army goes on bravely at the rendezvous of Majors Pegram and Turner, corner of Cary and Twenty-first, and those skeptics who doubt the availability of negroes as soldiers immediately would be established in the faith of the opposite doctrine by a visit to the rendezvous where the battalion is drilled daily. We may not now state numbers, but the several organizations are filling up with a gratifying rapidity.
