From the Richmond Dispatch, 10/30/1860, p. 1, c. 5
"Camp Lee" is the name that has been decided upon for the Cavalry Camp to be established on the Central Fair Grounds on the 8th of November. Fifteen companies have announced their purpose to encamp, and we anticipate a display of "troopers" the like of which we have never seen. The regulations promulgated by the commanding officer are such as will ensure the strictest discipline, while they afford ample opportunities for the public to visit the camp to see how soldiers live. The occasion will attract many strangers to the city.
