Big Order for Tredegar.
While nothing authoritative could be learned last night, it is stated that the Tredegar Iron Works has received a $500,000 order for 8, 12 and 14-inch shells for the United States Navy. It is known definitely that the company is taking on men, after being closed down for several weeks on the expiration of allied munition orders. The Navy Department last night refused to give names of successful bidders, whose bids were opened on Wednesday.
