Needs Correction. – In the list of claimants before the Southern Claims Commission, the names of the Van Lew family appear.
We are requested to explain how the names appear, and to state that none of that family recognize any claim of the character described. An application was made by some of them for rent due since the war, which improperly came before the Commission, and it having no jurisdiction, the claim was at once withdrawn from farther consideration by that body.
