EYE BURNED OUT.
Employe of Tredegar Iron Works Injured By Red-Hot Iron.

The ambulance received a call yesterday at 4 P. M. to the Tredegar Iron Works. Alfred Bedley, a colored employe, had his eye burned out by a piece of red-hot iron, which fell accidentally on it. The man suffered horribly, and will of course lose the eye. He was treated by Dr. Whittaker, of the Ambulance Corps.

Another call was turned in at 6:15 P. M. from the first police station. Jimmie Barbour, a colored youth, had his toe mashed by a piece of lumber. Dr. Whitten treated him.
