The Trouble at the Cemetery
Superintendent R. W. Carter of the almshouse and Clerk N. B. Groom were at the meeting of the Board of Aldermen on Tuesday last to explain in answer to Alderman Mitchell’s resolution why the trouble occurred at the Shockoe Hill Cemetery, when Miss Woodbridge desired the itnerment of her colored mammy in the family section.
Owing to a failure of the committee to report, it went over until the next meeting of the Board.
