Military Items.
…The 1st Conn. Artillery is still located in the vicinity of Richmond. The 2d battalion is at Chapin’s Bluff, on the north bank of the James river; the 1st and 3d battalions are encamped at Fort Darling and Battery Seems, south side of James river. They are all busily at work dismounting the heavy guns the rebels left in the defenses of Richmond. The boys are very anxious to get home and be mustered out.
