The relatives of Miss Lizzie Van Lew showed to visitors the secret room in the old mansion in Richmond, in which they claim Federal troops who escaped from Libby prison were concealed. There is a secret door in this room. The door was so arranged as to fasten on the inside, leaving absolutely no trace to the entrance to the secret chamber.
