RECAPTURE OF DICK TURNER. – Yesterday morning it was reported that Richard Turner, in Confederate times the chief jailor at the Libby prison and late a prisoner in the same place, under Federal authority, had been recaptured. He was taken at his own house on Union Hill, between one and two o’clock yesterday morning by some of the Provost Guard and a detachment sent specially to arrest him. He was sleeping with his wife it is said, with three pistols under his head, but he had time to use neither of his weapons. It appears Turner left the city after his escape, but returned in disguise, and has since been secreted at home. His presence was detected by his clothing, which was sent out to wash with his name upon some of the pieces. His washerwoman betrayed him. He has been recommitted to one of the Libby cells.
