OPENING CARY STREET. – This heretofore business thoroughfare, blockaded by the ruins of the fire, is being re-opened to wagon and foot travel by order of the military authorities, who have set a strong force of contrabands to work. The able bodied among the negroes are not enjoying these happy hours of idleness and sloth they looked for. Few of them will be allowed to eat the bread of idleness so long as anything can be found for them to do.
