THE BALLARD HOUSE. - We understand that the Ballard House will be opened to the public with full hotel accommodations about the first day of June next. Much of the furniture which has been ordered by the proprietor in New York has yet to be manufactured. The house is to be painted throughout, and the chambers and parlors retouched, and considerable repair put upon the building throughout. The cooking accommodations of the Ballard are the most ample and complete of any hotel in the South, as was well tested in the cooking of the great dinner to the Army of Northern Virginia last winter.
