HOMICIDE. - On Tuesday night, John Saunders, a member of Captain L. H. Dance's company, was standing on the sidewalk, in front of Minnis & Co.'s grocery, at the corner of Main and 2d streets, in conversation with his brother, when an unknown soldier passed by, and jostled the latter from the sidewalk. The rudeness was resented with a blow, whereupon the comrade of the soldier, who was struck, rushed upon John Saunders, and stabbed him in the abdomen, inflicting a mortal wound. The sufferer was removed to the Hospital, at the Alms-House, where he died next morning.
