THE SOLDIER'S GRAVE. - It was intimated to us, yesterday, by a citizen that two or three of the volunteers who have died in this city, from disease, were interred in an open field near the Alms House. We hope there is some mistake in this information, for if true, it indicates a degree of remissness on the part of the authorities not at all creditable to them. The corporation owns a cemetery of some twenty acres extent, known as "Oakwood Cemetery." Let the Council, or the Committee under whose charge it is, allow the burial there of any soldier who may be stricken down by the hand of Death, whilst sojourning here, and instruct the overseer of the ground to keep a suitable record of all such interments.
