A Strange Prisoner. – On yesterday, an enormous crane, shot down the river, was brought to town and lodged in Castle Thunder. Having been shot through the wing, that useful appendage was skillfully amputated by the surgeon of the prison. Some of the dogs of the Castle were set upon the lordly bird, but he repulsed them handsomely, and, it is reported, extinguished the eyes of one of them.
