WINDER HOSPITAL, May 27, 1863
Editor Sentinel. - I noticed in your paper of yesterday the publication of the acts of Congress in regard to furloughing the sick and wounded in hospitals, and to-day we hear that there has been an order to stop all furloughs. How is this? I would like to know if Congress is to be overruled in this way. There are a great many wounded in the hospitals who will not be able for duty in many days. Are they to lay here and suffer, when the Congress of the Confederate States says that they shall be furloughed and go home?
