THE WORK FOR JULY. – The officers attached to the Assistant Provost Marshal’s office, during the month of July, captured property stolen from the battle-fields of value to the amount of six thousand seven hundred and seventy-three dollars and ninety-seven cents, (6,773.97).
The articles consisted of overcoats, cartridge boxes, blankets, mining and entrenching tools, oil cloths, muskets, rifles, pistols, saddles, holsters, bridles, knapsacks, bayonets, knives, stretchers, two horses, &c.
