SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. – As surgeon in charge of the temporary hospitals – Richardson's and Dooley's – and now of the United States Hotel hospitals, Main street, corner of Nineteenth, Dr. William A. Carrington desires to return thanks for many donations for the use of the wounded, the principal of which being one hundred dollars from a gentleman through Rev. Moses D. Hoge; two valuable and acceptable boxes from the Messingford Soldiers' Aid Society; and numerous articles from the army committee of the Young Men's Christian Association, through their almoner, Colonel Munford.
