THE HOSPITALS. - We made a visit yesterday to several of the hospitals on Main street, and were particularly struck with the well ordered condition of the Crew Factory Hospital, on Cary street, near Twentieth. The numerous empty cots, while they attest to the skill of the physician in charge, show that the wounded who may fall disabled hereafter may be sure of a haven of repose and the usual attention. The surgeons in charge of the several wards are Dr. H. C. Scott, Dr. G. B. Moore and W. T. Bell and others, with hospital steward Price. What is true of the Crew Hospital can be said of most of the hospitals in the city. They are at least half emptied of their inmates, and places are ready for the more deserving.
