BETWEEN the prison on Franklin street, and the candle factory in the vicinity, the residents of that quarter have a disagreeable time of it generally. Prisons should be in less populous districts, and in no other city but this have we ever known a candle factory to be established within the average range of the sense of smell, without some fine cautionary arrangement against offensiveness.
