Cannon Metal. – If iron is valuable just now for making cannon, why does not the Governor, or some other man in authority, order those at the different street corners to be taken up and re-cast? The street corners of Mobile are full of cannon stuck upright in the ground as posts, to keep off drays, and Richmond can boast of a number used for the same purpose. There is one on the corner in front of this office.
