MEMORIAL NOTICE.

In accordance with the late General Order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, the DECORATION OF THE GRAVES OF UNION SOLDIERS IN THIS VICINITY will take place at the National Cemetery, on the Williamsburg turnpike, about two miles distant from this city, on SATURDAY the 28th instant, under the auspices of Post No. 1 (G. A. R.), Department of Virginia.

All are cordially invited to attend.

Contributions of flowers are respectfully solicited, and those who are willing to furnish the same, and have not the means of transportation, will please have them left at the State Journal office between the hours of 8 and 10 o’clock A. M. on the day above named.

The memorial address will be delivered at the hour of 12 M.

Garber & Co.’s coaches will convey passengers from the eastern terminus of the city railway to and from the cemetery grounds. Fare, 25 cents each way; children under twelve years of age, half price.
