From the Richmond Dispatch, 9/2/1864, p.1, c. 7
Confederate States District Court. – In Judge Halyburton’s Court yesterday the following business was transacted:
Thomas F. Goodall, on an application under a writ of habeas corpus for exemption from military service, was discharged. Goodall holds a contract from the Post-office Department for carrying the mails.
William B. Barrett’s injunction case against A. P. Woods, Confederate States tax collector for the city of Richmond, was postponed till the 12th of September.
The habeas corpus case of H. D. Stevens was put off till this morning.
The case of Lester Lloyd, charged with disloyalty, was dismissed, he having been permitted by the Confederate authorities to leave the Confederacy.
The court adjourned until this morning at eleven o’clock.
