A Church-Hill Superstition.
Rumors that the grounds of the Van Lew mansion were haunted gained currency among the colored people who live or pass in that neighborhood the day after Miss Van Lew’s death had been announced. A certain colored minister took the circumstance as the subject of his discourse on Sunday, and not a few of his hearers believe that weird occurrences may be seen about the old place after sundown.
