Miss Lizzie Van Lew Ill.
Miss Elizabeth L. Van Lew, postmistress of Richmond under Grant’s administration, in the years following the war, is very ill at her residence on Grace street between Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth. Miss Van Lew’s niece, who resides with her, is also sick. Another niece arrived from Philadelphia on last Saturday to nurse them. Dr. Stone is attending the elder patient and Dr. Carey the younger woman.
