CAUGHT IN HIS OWN TRAP. – Some time ago a negro man was assaulted and killed in Chimborazo, and a warrant was issued by Justice Wade for the arrest of the murderer, a negro named Daniel Strong. This latter could not be found, and succeeded in eluding the vigilance of the officers. On yesterday, however, a negro man went into Justice Wade’s office and asked for a warrant for the arrest of a man who had assaulted him. He gave his name as Daniel Strong, the name was recognized, and he was at once ironed and sent to jail upon a charge of murder. Strong had been working at Curl’s Neck since the murder, and in that way managed to keep himself out of sight until he thought that he could return to the city with impunity.
