POLICE ARRESTS. – The following arrests were made yesterday:
Alfred Smith, negro, charged with stealing four pairs of boots, one hat, and one coat, from a negro named Gudley, and one coat from Charles Williams, a negro.
Thomas Droleson, aged eleven, was charged with stealing a pair of shoes from Mr. Hess and Frank Harman, aged ten, was charged with aiding and abetting in the same.
R. Harris, Abram Taylor, and Cornelius Tyler, negroes, were charged with destroying the barracks at Chimborazo and stealing the lumber therefrom.
