AUCTION SALE OF THE HISTORIC GAINES’S-MILL PROPERTY, FRIDAY, MAY 2, 1884.
The undersigned will on FRIDAY the 2d day of May, 1884, on the premises, expose to sale at public auction the GAINES MILL PROPERTY, consisting of a TRACT OF 15 ½ ACRES OF LAND, upon which is located a CORN-MILL in good condition, with never-failing stream, twenty-two feet fall; and to the grist-mill is attached a CIRCULAR-SAW MILL, with good custom. Upon the property is also located a NEW WHEELWRIGHT- AND BLACKSMITH-SHOP, with fine custom; also, TWO DWELLING-HOUSES, one containing four and the other three rooms.
This property is very valuable. It lies immediately on the county road leading from Cold Harbor to Richmond, is in an excellent neighborhood, is in the heart of the famous trucking section of Hanover county, and would be an excellent stand for a country store.
TERMS: One third cash, and the residue in equal payments at one and two years, to be evidenced by negotiable notes, to be secured by trust-deed on the property.
