Dead Trees. – The Capitol Square, which has become a very popular place of resort, is ornamented by a number of dead trees that stand as if in memory of their living compeers and the green grass that is fast covering the place like a velvet mantle. They might be removed with advantage to the appearance of the place. Every one of the large trees transplanted to the North of the Capitol fronting the parade ground have died.
