Escaped from Prison. – The following soldiers, charged with desertion and confined in the military prison, escaped on the 14th inst, by a “hole in the wall,” which they made themselves, viz: Robert Burch, John Wrenn, M J Lannon, John Brismo, J C Haynes, and Wm Clarke. On Tuesday night, Tim O’Brien, charged with forging checks to defraud the Government Treasury, and a Captain Buttrick or Butterworth, charged with forging soldiers’ pay claims, who were confined in the jail of Henrico county, escaped by making an incision in the walls of that edifice. A guard was stationed around the building at the time, but it appears did not make any discovery till after the prisoners had gotten out.
