Prison Items. – James Lewis, a free negro, was lodged in the military prison of the Eastern District yesterday, on the charge of leading the Yankees into Fredericksburg; James Hickey, alias Edwards was put in for running away from a company into which he had sold himself as a substitute.
A soldier named Wm. H. Carter, alias Sullivan, died in the hospital of the above prison yesterday, of typhoid pneumonia.
