BENEFIT FOR THE SUFFERERS BY THE EXPLOSION OF THE C. S. LABORATORY.

BROAD STREET THEATRE, March 14.

Respected Sir – In response to the call of our worthy Mayor (Joseph Mayo) for the relief of the sufferers by the explosion of the C S Laboratory, I humbly beg to place at your disposal the proceeds of one of my entertainments, to take place at the Broad Street Theatre, on WEDNESDAY evening next, March 18th. You will please appoint a treasurer and doorkeeper.

An early answer will oblige yours truly,

Your generous offer is thankfully received, and it will afford us much pleasure to be the medium of relief to those devoted women who were engaged in the service of the Confederate States.
