From the Richmond Dispatch, 1/7/1863, p. 1, c. 5
Gone. – At an early hour yesterday morning Lieut. Virginius Bossieux carried off over 300 Abolition prisoners of war to City Point where they were delivered over to the custody of the Yankee authorities to be taken to Fortress Monroe. Tomorrow 300 more will be sent off in the same manner. The exodus of these scamps will do away with the necessity of procuring additional accommodations for the fast-growing stock of Yankees in our midst.
