At his residence, on Church Hill, on the 21st of September, 1861, after a protracted illness of great suffering, Mr. ROBT. H. HARWOOD, in his 70th year.
Truly may it be said of him that “he was an honest man.” He was a kind neighbor, an affectionate parent, and a good master; of an unobtrusive turn of character, he was but little known out of his family circle. Few live to be as old, and fewer are called upon to pass through greater sufferings than he, all of which he bore with a remarkable degree of patient resignation.
