From Richmond Dispatch, 5/25/1861, p. 2
Fire. – The alarm of fire yesterday morning was caused by the burning of a small portion of the frame house of Clara Bohannan, located opposite Hardgrove's factory. The flames were extinguished very shortly after being discovered by Hardgrove's force and the neighbors. The fire was entirely accidental, and was caused by the stove-pipe running through a wood petition. Loss about $75.
