The Retorts for the Gas Works. – We are informed by the Superintendent of the Gas Works that only four retorts have been received; that the full complement is ninety-six; that they can only be made (or are only delivered) at the rate of three per week, and that it is doubtful when the street lamps can be relighted at night.
