From the Richmond Dispatch, 10/3/1862, p. 2, c. 5
TO DOCTOR LUNDIE, MRS. WILSON, AND NURSES OF KENT HOSPITAL. –
Having for several weeks past been under your care and attention, I take this method of returning my sincere thanks to each of you for your uniform kindness while an inmate of the Kent Hospital, and take pleasure in stating that had I been placed under my own roof, with all the care and attention of mother, sisters and friends, I could not have been more comfortable and kindly attended to.
Very respectfully yours, &c.
THOMAS W. FARQUHAR.
